The rock foundations here are mere sandstone of brown or yellowish color, many of the states were limited & reduced in direction. Red, got fired the sandstone used for building purposes ever seen in places. Then down the valley spread out on the Medora river but the spring became drier. The towns before reaching Medora or an elevation of about 4,000 ft. The country looked exactly like El Paso Texas country we encountered a similar growth of creoste bush on an arid sand plain without cactus or other vegetation. Reached Medora late at 11 P.M., + both rooms in hotel with Fines Stephens who was one of the passengers for B.G. Saw practically no bird or animal life along the route during the whole day. The town is locked by a fine fruit & veg.
