a sort general parade at the Plaza Victoria. This takes place on one side of the square only & assists chiefly of the government women in twos or four quartettes. It is address parade in which much verity is displayed! The people of Peru have a thorough European appearance. The blood blue eyes are predominate, Indian black or negro is certain very rare here as far as the upper class are concerned. The people show a strong national or rather military spirit. Santa Plaza at the suburb is a large stone monument Capt. Pratt written hears of the recent Peruvian War.
