Collection. He did the birds (22 species), he has described about 57 altogether. Sunday June 17. Thursday June 29. We finished at Leyden last Thursday, and were in England Friday morning having come from North Holland to Haarlem, & thence to London. Went to Museum in afternoon. Met Mrum-Scott the new married man. Also the next day Martin & Delmaran. Met Fellows, Oldfield, Hunt and King (the last a newcomer). Settled down for two days until Monday morning. Thursday July 2. We started with Papuan mammalians etc. Met Shaw Meyer, & a fellow named Morrison who is going to red collect. The former is going out to E.Papua in about a week from now. Also met Frost who has collected in Java. Dr Skeeter editor of Zoological Rec took us to lunch the other day. Have done no photographing yet because the 'canton' needed overhauling, (that sort of back) So there is a vast accumulation of type skulls awaiting the taking of their pictures. Starting Papuan rodents tomorrow.
