Sun Mar 21 Took all specimens & board the morning
Baron met him - mostly only then it was in
Tun way : about - 10 minutes, or 72.85 min.
Mon Mar 22 Packing specimens , anxious fussiness
of leaving ; trop pay-off. They got their money all
night because about 5 o'clock I saw evidence
that they had been spending it . All five were
starting back for Koka (the trop quarters at
Moredly) with a large, new paper suitcase
and an umbrella.
Tue Mar 23 Stuart Campbell flew in from
the Carville camp on the Fly, bringing board
Williams - who was ill with fever !
Wed Mar 24 The "MacKee" arrived from
the south bringing me one letter. Mr Woodward,
wife of the former R.M. of Dawn was on
board.
Thurs Mar 25 We sailed at 9 p.m.
Cork is on board (prospector & mining engineer).
He was on the ship by which we went to Papua
more than a year ago.
Saturday Mar 27 Reached Cairns at 3 pm.
Left again at 5.30 p.m.
Tuesday - Mar 30 Arrived Brisbane.
