L. 28. P. 12 re-baiting traps I dosed them with parsons's+ quinine. Tonight at sunset however the weather cleared + I hope that the storm is over. Have decided to move out on Saturday. I must leave some liney in case some flooded river holds us up. Once across the Kwaro- however there'll be little to trouble us in that respect. Wed. Nov. 10. Three thing new to the collect this morning: Perycelis if the ornatus group; a new skunk beetle, skunk-celid Melomya, and a very small adult & Stramps with mammaes, l=2+6. A better day, then hazy + a bit overcast, went up the tack to when it leaves this ridge + turns NNW. Approximately 6500 feet, I estimate. Two kinds of acorns on tracks in spots, one very large. A begonia with decors while fl. No very good views. A forested flat which would make just collecting place, had we the time to spare, at 6500 ft. Several Rattus of ornatus group drifted in. Stated to be caught on sweet potatoes. A female Perycelis dudobenti with large & fresh young, caught in hole beneath tree in front. about 500 feet. Scale: 1 inch = 2 miles approximate relation of the localities Efoji, Kagi, & Seregina
