4.28. P.S. This place. This ridge is not the divide between the [illegible] & Salshi rivers. The next one is th[r]. N. of here is a stream (down about 100 feet I guess) which works around west to the Goldie River. 5pm The police boy Uriqi & 3 others have just come in with the trap-bows, so now we have everyone here. The day's hand in action, seen from the SE is about as follows: [Diagram] Some vegetable crops [illegible] included: sweet potatoes, maniocas, rather bitter cucumbers and chicken corn. One of the huts here is conical (tipi-shaped) +thatched, all over with perdone leaves. I noticed the aykoneticos once more coming up to Laibawa hill, but here on the top the exposures are schistose - much contorted. The horizontal trace of where we have come is about: [Diagram]
