L.23 P.12 is more probably a member of that genus. The specimen (male) is small compared to most D. I have seen it has several characters noted by me before: The 4th finger of the hand is relatively short, the digits measuring respectively 7, 11, 14, 20, and 11x to the web; the forearm 25 mm. If the tail beneath is prehensile. This shows not only in the cross folds of the tail skin but when tight it the animal was still alive and crooked the top of the tail around my finger. The pattern of the variegation of the tail [illegible] conforms with my recollection of D. t. kataini from Orinoco. I could not make the eyes shine with my flash light. A peculiar tubercle containing bone or cartilage at the base of each hand, whiskers clipped short and some with gummy substance on them. Tongue quite protrusible.
