II at the Idea on the Geology of the [illegible] Palmer River Clamp area Z/Z The Black & Palmer River Areas sand bar Island Ridge 1 (Camp ridge) garden [illegible] Ridge 2 (Garden Ridge) overlying th limestone, clay deposits so far discovered with the exception of included pobbles, appears to be very recent. The sandstones are friable & uncemented, the clays are almost all unconsolidated, and the lignite is yet worthy - so much so that spines of [illegible] stand out free in the laminae. Slight folding with E-W strike may be actual, or the recent beds may have been laid down on earlier folds which erosion (caypit) is again uncovering. The seeming strike of the local ridges is parallel with the big mountain system 30 miles to the north. The apparent accompanies discontent of general E-W strikes of the ridges is supported by the E-W Courses of the Black River, Eleena River,
