L, 18. P. 6. peller of conglomerate. I got my radio up & talked to Julistado at 5.30. Saturday June 6. This morning everybody was pretty tired, especially as the sandflies had paid us pretty constant attention during the dark hours. Sandflies here are punteries at time & they can be thick ordinary mosquito bar. Willis Nealy are now only a few miles ahead of us, though by this time they may have crossed the black river. Archibald & Copin left about 10 o'clock for Dame. They were going to look at Willis on their way out. We have been busy today fixing things. I have got a better achined, & this afternoon just not some hopes. We had dips in the river where water is cool & refreshing. Like the other camps this place is at yet teeming with stingless bees which crawl all over you. Aloud & I took a walk along the forward trail this a.m. & both fell off a tree-bridge into a muddy creek. No harm done. Can see part of Sgt Blucher from here. N.E., straight up the river the rugged crest-line, tree-covered, shows about 20 miles away.
