Rather dark, sometimes with a grayish tinge. Habitat.- Open country, forest. Collecting.- Sarasin says that Uvea birds are smaller than Lifu birds and separates them as minor. I do not believe in this difference, but a series of adults from each island should prove the point. Maré KOH.
