28 Gerygone flavolateralis flavolateralis Gray Range.- New Caledonia, Maré Description.- This small yellow bellied warbler with the white spots on the tail-feathers is quite un- mistakable. Habitat.- Unknown. Is probably associated with a particular type of forest, otherwise it would be dif- ficult to explain its absence in the southern New Hebrides. Collecting.- A good series on each island. The Maré bird is possibly different from the New Caledonian race. WAH- KEI-MO-CHEY
