49 Common swallow. Hirunda tahitica subfusca Gould Range.- Fiji, Solomon Islands, New Hebrides. Description.- As in New Hebrides. Collecting.- There is one sight record from Noumea. One or two collected specimens would be suf- ficient to establish the locality. They are possibly slightly larger than the Fijian bird. Any other landbird you find on the islands would be new. Seabirds are supposed to be particularly common on Uvea and the small islands of the Uvea group. Note. WAH-THI-NECK
