28 June 2000. 3 in the nest when I got here stayed; see back
for markings which may be distinctive enough
to identify him, eventually at least.
30 June Something happened tonight but I think it
was a different 8. See back for head markings
2008. No! At The last minute 8 at LS/M #1155 replaced
the 1st 8 and roosted in the nest!
3 July 910. Set up to get the 8 with 1 baby in the nest (for DLW).
1100. Hot! No visits! I give up!
6 July 2009. 81155 roosted in The nest again tonight.
31 December 1645. Counted stores: Main tree: 2350 ?
2nd tree: 0 2350.
Not too shabby, but the granary is not anywhere near capacity.
Some of the acorns look old and I bet they never ran out here
this summer.

19 January *Census update*
81898. Last seen 9 Feb. 1991! Never seen last spring, 1st
reasonable census on 9 April → D.A., 9 March ± 1 month.
4 April 1840. It's pretty dark, but there are definitely acorns still
here, perhaps 1000 or so.
3 June 830. Walked around, but no sign of anyone.
7 June 1130. At least 3 birds seen here. Still no nest though.
There are stores remaining in the granary here.
9 June 930. There are 2 birds hanging out consistently over by
the Telephone Pole over on the Horsebench property.
