Watched here for an hour or so this morning, getting few
cues as to a nest, although they do seem to be heading down
into the forest relatively frequently.
I did see a bird (and on Morni's feeder in the granary and
take a piece of dog food.
850. Fm(Blk-Yel) #1648 from Blomone intruding here.
855. ♀ Yel-Red (Red) #1078 in granary.
945. Found a new hole in the forest near the old one; watched it for
20 min but no one came by. Still looks like a good possibility to me.
31 December
1630. Counted stores: 3100. These guys are essentially
doing as well as last year! Again, is this partially because
they were supplemented? Maybe they never ran out of stores?
(Maybe Morni noted this.)
Looking again, The majority of acorns stores are almost
certainly new (this year's). There may be some old ones, but
it's rather hard to tell.

1810. A good number of stores still here, probably on the
order of 1000 or maybe a few more.
