1991 Walter D Koenig Melanerpes formicivorus Buckeye HNHR 6 March 1200. Came up to show Morné and Roger the territory. There are some stores left, but not a lot - there's a lot of empty space in the granary. 10 April 1100. None in any holes here. One bird in the granary, however, where Morné has 2 feeders set up. No sign of any action over at Buckeye Annex. 29 May 1500. Bird in last year's nest hole (and has been for weeks, apparently). Zilch over at Buckeye Annex. 2 June 800. ! Oops! Door had fallen out of The Buckeye hole since I checked on the 29th! Nothing inside, but This is not surprising - They could very well have had eggs. Put the door back in and checked other holes (including Buckeye Annex); nothing. Morné has added food feeders here, but otherwise they have virtually no stored acorns left as far as I can tell. 8 June 1500. Nothing at Buckeye Annex. 1515. Nos at Buckeye, for that matter. 15 June 800. Nothing going on up here as far as I could tell. 24 June *Group Update* ?1624, j 1830 *j 1831. All last seen 23 July '70 by Mike.
