1615. Counted stores: Nest tree (VO): 516
H.VO: 420
H. fallen tree: 992
Not too bad here, although they still aren't using the Lambert
fallen tree. In any case, I'd put capacity (without the latter)
at <2500.

15 May
1500. Set up to get blood from the birds here (watching the nest).
1575. Got the ♀ (1378). Bleed and measured her; put her
back in the hole at 1530. Leaving for now.
By the way, the ants in this tree are wicked: a one of the
worst around.
21 May
1313. Set up to get the ♂762, from whom I have no blood.
1500. Giving up. Maybe better nail this guy at dawn?
(The ♀ fed once, but noone else showed up)
22 May
910. Here again for the ♂.
1130. Giving up. This is too hard and too slow. Morning it will
have to be.
25 May
1600. Banded and bled the 3 babies here. Should be #1918-1920.
26 May
2025. Ambushed after dark and finally nailed ♂762,
who was bled, rebanded, and stuck back in the nest.
