1991 Walter D. Koenig Melanerpes formicivorus Road 3 HNHR 7 January 1020. Bird flushed! There are stores here: Main tree: 1220) 1560. VO: 340 This group exists once more, although I suppose it's possible that there are the MacIat birds over here storing.... (Yes - fide Amy). 4 May 1030. Checked the new (likely) hole here for Mark: empty. 24 May 915. Retrieved a parasite board and put in another one; also weighed the 3 babies: ① 16.6 Or (Mark Kien) ② 13.9 (Mark Raline) ③ 3.1 The nest was feisty (relatively) but on the way out nonetheless. 27 May 1900. Parasite board gone. Only 2 babies left. 2 June 2015. Watched roosting. Bird in the hole when I got there just stayed. However, I got lucky and ③ rel/M #1633 came to the hole at one point and then left; hence, I think I can safely conclude that ③1510 spent the night in the nest. See back for some face markings. (or it could have been the ③(③1451), apparently!) 5 June Morné watched tonight and got ③1633 roosting! 6 June Morné reports tonight that ③1451 spent the night in the nest! Not only may this be a first (she was, as far as he knew, by herself) but this now makes once for all 3 birds here roosting in the nest! (but see note attendant for June) 8 June 2000. The bird never left so I don't know who roosted here tonight but it was a ③, markings consistent with ③1510 (but I have no comparable look at ③1633 as yet). 11 June 2000. ③1854 came by but then only ③1510 roosted
