(24 April) about 705) but did not enter the hole. There were no
other visits.
742. Both ♀my/or #1533 and ♀m/w#1531 together in the
farther next tree.
800. Nothing yet! Leaving.
25 April
800. Valerie watched this morning → 1 egg tossed from
last year's hole! Details, from her transcription, are
fuzzy - both ♀♀ were in the hole, both when the egg apparently
was laid & when it was tossed. Egg was probably a runt. Valerie
guessed)
26 April
620. All cameras up; Connie & I watching!
640. ♀1531 in hole, not guarded by anyone → marked #1!
715. ♀1531 leaves. Check nest - runt egg! ♀1531 laid
her 1st egg today! This undoubtedly means that ♀1533 laid
yesterday & ♀1531 tossed! Today - either could toss!
723. Back in blinds.
830. Leaving; Connie will stay for a 67. No one else came
to any holes! Things aren't over yet!
27 April
615. Set up with cameras. Runt is still in the hole.
650. ♀1531 (m/w) in hole.
723
♀1531 leaves after a 2nd bird landed briefly at
the hole. No one going to other holes (that I can see,
at least) → and appeared to have been chased off by ♀1531!
737. As we suspected, a new (normal) egg, laid by ♀1531
and numbered #2.
815. Except for ♀1531 laying, there's really no interest
in this hole.
With all the activity (in
contrast to next
2 days) I vote
for ♀1533 having
laid! (27 Apr)
Actually,
either ♀
could have
tossed!
