Holmes, R. 1963 Catalog 8. 16 June Barrow, Alaska 1976 ♀ C. bairdii - oval 5,8,5,3,<2mm - ven light fat - 39.0 molt: crown O->B; Dorsum O->C; rump O; Throat o-c; breast O->c. brood patch well developed bill = 24mm. Bird in heavy molt - even tho egg not laid yet - paired with #1977 1977 ♂ C. bairdii T=8x4m - ven light fat - 36.7 no molt: brood patch defathered but not vascularized or opaque. -Since #1976 had well developed brood patch- yet no corpus follicle w/e visible - perhaps she had an early clutch & lost it - Or maybe new mate. 1978 ♂ __________ T=8x5m - light fat 39.5 -no molt, bp - defathered - not developed 1979 ♂ C. alpinia T = 9x5m - ven light fat 568 -no molt; brood patch clearly - not vase. 13 June Ogotruk Creek, ____ feet, Cape Thompson, Alaska 1980 ♂ Colicidas canatus T = 11mm - very light 120.0g - brood patch. - collected while in destructive display for a nest? 4 eggs - (recently laid - w/ max 1 day development) Logsdon # 630616-1 - C bairdii - 39gm T = 9mm - very light fat BR - 100 yds No. 1 border
