Never Sink, Curecanti National Recreation Area, approx 12 miles W.

June 18 Sink, Curecanti National Recreation Area, along the Green
(Creek) River. This is a cottonwood-alder dominated riparian setting with
much of the understory provided by young trees of the dominant species.
There was a nearly continuous carpet of green grass 6-8" high. A
spend 10:30 to 11:30 walking the well-worn riverside trail. Also
present in quantity were coyote willow, numerous fife, numerous rag-
ciwld along the latter being dandelions. Weather here was
partly cloudy, very little breeze, temperature about 70°F.
