TROCHET, JOHN 1991 Grey Vireo Vireo vicinior Clow Ranch adjacent to Quarry Section of Dinosaur National Monument, Utah Co, UTAH. Elevation 5000 ft. June 14 During my walk upslope to the S. or SW. end S. of Clow Ranch Camp site, I heard a singing male. This was about 3/4 mile south of my tent in open juniper habitat in somewhat broken terrain. The song is familiar to me, with phrases higher pitched, lacking the terminations and more rapidly delivered, compared to Plumbeous Vireo. I did not try pursue the bird for visual confirmation. This seems perhaps considered further north than the usual limits of summer distribution for Vicinior.
