Burna Roca, 1/2 mile SSW of Red Spring, Lincoln Co., Nevada.
Elevation 3575 ft.
August 13 NW 5-10 mph until about 09:30, when they became variable 0-5
east
mph. A few clouds appeared over the mountains E. & W. after
12:30, but the valley remained clear until 16:10 when, accompanied
by shifting, gusting winds of 10-25 mph, two large thunder clouds
came over and dropped no rain. These moved off to the SE,
so sunset was clear. This I could barely appreciate
through the dead, hanging limbs of ash trees while taking
a bath in its "swimming hole"
