May 31 *in cardinals (pebbledoxia) *Blue grosbeak *varied bunting *painted bunting canyon towhee *Cassin's sparrow *rufous-crowned sparrow clipping sparrow mammals: Dasypus Bassariscus Canis track Paromyscus (?) sp - gray brown, white venters & feet, bicolor Tail > al. longer than body, ears fairly large; at mouth of bat cave. Iepus Sybilagus sp Odocoileus virginianus bats: Thousands, probably 10s of thousands, seen emerging at dusk from Green Cave. These are reportedly mostly Tadarida brasiliensis.
