Sciurus virginianus Sciurus niger Thomys (?) sp. Lepus californicus May 31 I ran my nets near the lodge from 06:25 to 20:05, except for a two hour period beginning at 14:00. At that time I explored a drainage in the SE corner of the park, looking for open water and goldfinches. I found a couple of pools, but no goldfinches. From 20:20 to 22:05, I was at the mouth of the bat cave NE of the lodge (Green Cave, I think it's called). Weather today: Temp 71°-92°F, light intermittent showers out of continuous overcast from to 11:30. Then partly cloudy in afternoon. Frost sawyer about 09:00. No signif. total. Afternoon S. wind 5-10 mpa. Quite humid.
