Kent, John 1990 Journal 13 Kicker-Bo Cave State Park site 22 1/2 miles N. of Brackettville Kinney Co. Texas. Elevation 1700 feet. May 30 I tried using Kely Bryan's nets from 08:30 - 12:45. These (cont) are set up around an artificial deep among a small grove (30'x 40') of mixed deciduous small trees and shrubs near the S. end of the Thistle field near the house. These nets are about 1 1/2 miles W. of the lodge. I caught no goldfinches in these nets. I had the Lodge nets in use until after sunset, about 21:00. The weather today was quite a change. It was cloudy this morn- ing, with several episodes of thunder & lightning, but no real rain. Continuous cloud cover broke at 13:15, after while the day was mostly cloudy. Temp. pattern 75°-88° 83°F. No wind until 16:15, then S.E. at 5 mph, falling off at sunset. It was very humid, especially in the morning.
