ear, John 1990 journal Kickapo Caverns State Park Site, 22 1/2 miles N. of Bracketville, Kinney Co., Texas. Elevation 1700 ft. May 28 mammals: Dasypus novemcinctus (cont) Odocoileus virginianus Sylvilagus sp. May 29 I opened my nets just before sunrise. Between checks of them, I walked parts of the drainages near the lodge. I took a nap between 13:00 and 15:00. At 15:30, I visited near Kelly's house to see water sources there, including a tinaja N. of the dwelling. I tried following goldfinches to find nests but did not succeed, though all birds seen were singles or pairs. From 18:00 to 19:15, I resupplied my food store in Bracketville. I then ran my nets until a bit after sunset. Weather today was pleasant. Temp 72° - 90°F, few scattered clouds, nearly continuous sun. Breezy-windy all day after 09:00, direction variable; After 11:30, about 10 mph SE -> S -> SW. Humidity moderate. Species list: Lepidosaurs: Cyclasaurus texanus Cremidophorus sp.
