Goldfinch - 4-BD 4-NR Red-winged Blackbird 5-BD, 12-BB Chise Sparrow - 2 BD May 26 I spent the night at the home of Al and E.J. Charles, just north of the reservation boundary, off State Highway 32. I got rather a late start today. I began at the Canyon delos Blackrock Dam at 07:30, then to Blackrock Dqgue at 09:00 where I left the reservation at 13:00 (after a very quick glance at Blackrock Reservoir) to visit the Juni Mountains in the adjacent Cibola National Forest. Elev. 6350 - 6425 ft. The weather was again beautiful. The morning was cloud- less, still until 10:00 when light breezes began. Temp range 45° - 85°F. Species List (no non-avian vertebrates seen): Bird-billed Heron - 3-BD Spotted Sandpiper - 1-BD American Kestrel 13-BD Wilson's Phalarope 1F-BD Common Moorhen 10d-BD Mourning Dove 4-BD 10-BB Pun.
