1990 Waltrid D. Koenig Melanerpes formicivorus Chongo (27 April) yesterday (♂ LB/Red) was most likely ♂1733 from Plague. 1620. ♂ R-oren)/wh #1530, also from Plague. 1625. ♂ LB/Bk-LB #1607. Someone who belongs here! 1643. ♂ wh-Blk/M #1729, also from Plague 1730. Well, looks like new ♂♂ here, along with 1(or both?) of the old ♂♂. 6 May 1520. Flushed a bird from here, but none in any of the obvious holes. In fact, I went ahead and checked the 2 holes in the granary; the upper one is fine; the lower one had some evidence of mouse residency but I cleaned it out and it's fine now too. 16 May No one in any holes here; no obvious activity here at all, in fact. 18 May 1300. Bird in last year's hole: 3 eggs, several days incubated! 22 May 930. Still 3 eggs, warm. 4 June 930. Bled the 3 babies, who look fine. 15 June 1800. Banded the 3 babies. 17 June *Group Update* Gone are ♀1606. Last seen 6 Nov '89 (Donna), apparently gone by 20 Nov. When Buckeye ♂♂ appeared to be invading →D.A. 13 Nov '89 ± 2 wks. ♂1110. Last seen 21 Feb (Mike). Gone by 26 April, by which time the Plague ♂♂ had moved in →D.A. 24 March ± 1 month ♂♂1739, 1756, 1758, 1759. All here in Sept '89, but gone by 20 Nov. → D.A. 25 Oct '89 ± 1 month. New here are ♂♂1530, 1665, ♂1729. All moved here from Plague,
