This would probably be a good group to experiment with. 935. Leaving. 23 April 1900. Came up to set ambush in the forest hole on this misty evening. Two birds were in the traditional nest hole, so I checked it, fortunately finding it empty. I set an ambush there as well for good measure. 24 April 600. None in the nest hole, but Mark and I got 8 birds from the forest roost hole: ♀1679, ♂8 1046, 1155, 1520, 1521, 1629, ♀91627, and 1723. A complete route except for the helper ♂ (1724) who was missed in the Feb. census - unlike all these birds. In other words, I think we got them all. ①1724: D.A. 6 Pcl ±2 wks I (temporarily) removed ♂1520 for the experiment, while ♀1627 (a helper ♀ unrelated to the breeder ♀) was brought back so Philip could put a radio on her.
