These birds have done a fine job of renovating the Valley Oak granary just up The Wickenhill trickle from the Y. However, it's hard to give an estimate for the capacity, as many acorns are crammed wedged into crevices of the bark rather than in bonifide storage holes. My guess is that it's ~75% full and could perhaps hold about 1600 acorns if they were lucky. 31 March 815. Watching here. 823♀Mv/(N) #1445 in VO granary.
