There appear to be only 116 stored acorns here in the various scattered storage areas. Not so good - capacity is surely well over 1000! Also, there are a fair number (100?) of shells, so they've certainly passed their peak already. 29 March 1440. Here to watch for a bit. Looks like they are pretty much out of stores already. 1500. 3 birds way up on the side of PO Hill (where there are 1 or 2 reasonable-looking holes as well) but otherwise all quiet. 24 April 1850. At least one bird was tooling around here this evening. 6 May 1500. 3 fresh eggs in the low hole over the road (MTS). 30 May 645. And again... 625. 8 Red/DB #1633 fed. 645. Got her! 700. Bled the 2 babies as well. 5 June Suzanne reports having seen a 8(?) m?/fed?orange? feed here. What's particularly interesting is that she noted a small black band on the forehead making its sex unclear; Tami reported the same problem
