1730. Watched the new hole in a Live Oak up above the Finch
granary that I found last night, but no sign of a nest.
These birds do have some stored acorns left (not many,
but definitely a few).
2 August
845. No stores left here.

17 January
1430. Counted stores: Valley Oak: 410
Sycamore: 385
Not so good, but a lot better than most of the other groups out
here along the road!
Note that there are, as usual at this point, no stored acorns
over at the old (but still apparently quite functional) Finch
granaries.
28 March
Opened the new hole in the Creek Sycamore here, where
at least 1 bird roosted last night. I also set an ambush,
but none roosted here tonight.
24 April
Still can't find [illegible] where anyone's roosting here.
20 May
830. The mystery is finally solved here, presumably, with a bird
[illegible] in the high hole in the sycamore along the road.
24 May
800. Finally got up to the hole: 4 eggs, incubated.
28 May
1400. Babies (all 4) have hatched, probably already in day 3.
8 June
1520. At long last, I'm set up and in position to get The SNOBA
As a backup, I need frozen blood from R804.
1700. Line messed up. Trying again, probably just for the F.
1815. Nope. Not this time. All 4 babies in the nest.
