and got 2 nets up by dark. The good riparian habitat actually extended only a little way.
The moon is near full & by 8 PM was overhead - very bright & no bats (saw 2 Sace flying earlier but not now). Down nets & drove to Limon (~45min) & got a room ($140+) at the fancy Hotel Acon. Dinner in their nice restaurant & took frustrated at R.

up by 7 & read for a while, breakfast down-stairs. Ray called another of his mother's friends Alfredo Yee, then we went to see this funky coastal town. Took a turn thru Parque Vargas but saw no sloths. A black dude whose English had little Carribean accent told me they would be out later in the PM. We talked for a while (found out one can score "anything you want man" at this park around 6:30 - 7 most sites) then went to the mercado and generally ambled around until we met Alfredo at the Acon at 3.
Talked for a while then went out to the small fishing village of Portete N of town on the Main Rd. (had been by here earlier looking for habitat, but there is nothing good). He wanted to pick up lobsters from a boat of his that was out fishing & we waited 'til ~6:00 for this.
