D. D. Straney 1978 126. 13 Aug, (cat) least. One, that I think is a male, has more denoun ventrally and this (unlike the other two) meets in the urogenital region. This bat (Dos- 1013) appears smaller than the two ff. They vocalized alst in the bag, a very metallic chirping, like an insecty Myotis - sound quite tinny. One got loose in the car latter and had a soft, silent, butterfly- type flight. After many pictures of these fine animals, we continued uphill until the road levelled again in a much cut-over area with the town of Agua Buena (21.6 Km N. Villa Neily). It had taken us 3 hrs to get here, counting out some time for batting. We were both quite exhausted from the mineralde road (a car of good clearance and sturdy suspension would have had a better go - we had a bent run & flet & had to change this). Decided not to go on up to San Vito, as we had seen no evidence of notable habitat. This region is being rapidly settled and developed, and little remains now of what must have been exquisite habitat (note - the area is moist - moss, fernland- and some rocky areas of pasture & roadcuts would be worth examining for harps). Took us 1 3/4 hrs. to return to Villa Neily, stopping to look
