0. Straney 1977 8 Dec, cont'd. Dragging boats as the bracket we had along way completely full. Then set 6 nets downstream in pools, where possible. Saw pigs rooting around. Nets up slightly after dark. Caught Lonchorhina in 2 nets, one just under the bridge. Activity died almost completely at 7:15-7:30 and took nets down at 8:30. Left ~9:30 and hit Tonalá to find a fiesta in progress and no room in any inn. Likewise with Arriaga. Couldn't find a campsite so drove out to Puerto Arista and camped on the beach, to bed around midnight. 19 Dec. Puerto Arista, this. Vacinity up ~7:30 and pickled some lizards before gong to Tonalá for breakfast at the Rest, Marcos on the S side of town-a nice place. then bought more food & went SE of town to a bridge 13.2Km SE Tonalá on 200. Here I processed while Sam collected Saccapteryx under the bridge and many large, colorful Ctenosaurs along the stream. This stream is not really suitable for bats, so we drew back to a bridge 8.4 Km SE Tonalá on Hwy 200 and set nets downstream. Got up a total of 4 before dark and immediately caught Noctillis. Second hit Net 3 at once. Decided to split up so Sam ran nets 3&4 & I did 1&2. These were on a shallower, narrower stream than the others, with more fig trees
