D.O.Staney 1977 110. 17 Dec. contd. finished, caught 1 Saccophryx & 1 Epksicus . Caught 1 Noetillio in the downstream net. I watched him hit the net force, boncing off & then strafing the water. On the third time, I was there quickly enough to thorow some bag over him. Activity decreased by 8, nets down by 8:45. The moon is defying to be a problem. Went to the Motel S of town but it was full, then tried a restaurant, but it only had snakes. Finally found a cafe at the Pemex w/ real food. Left r 10:15 headed for Tonalá. Picked up an anteater 10.2 Km NW Pijjapan DOR in scruffy looking thorn-scrub/agriculture. Also saw 2 DOR foxes + 1 DOR Spilogale . Arrived Tonalá at 12 & got a room at the Motel "Thomas" for $160 - with 3 beds. Picked some animals and discovered the anteater to be pregnant, so fixed the fetus. Madam anteater was badly hit but still fresh, so took tissues - no skull possible but will photograph the color pattern. To bed by 1. 18 Dec. Tonalá, Chis. to Pueblo Austa, Chis. up at 8:45 and had breakfast on the N side of town - not a good restaurant.
