D.O. Straney 1977 11 Dec cont'd. processing last vites catch - many dead bats. Photographed the living ones. Again had much trouble with blood. Stopped about 4:30 & helped set up nets - Sam had already put up some. He had been busy catching Saccopteryx under the bridge (7) & lizards while I was processing. Got 7 nets up by dark & I started processing again, finishi just before the activity started - 1/2 hr after sunset. Worked 4 straight hours on the nets. Desmodus primarily in the net over the waterfall. P.t. Davii relatively early on net closest to bridge. Trackops in net down fm waterfall (the 2 sets just below the waterfall were the best. Started taking down nets ~10 finished at ~11:15, leaving many bats get tangled as we took them down. Then down to Tapanatepe. Picked up Pseudoplecinia? on the road here. Got to town ~11:40 & got a coke, then drove out 200 to Arriaga. ~~ Found a nice restaurant on the Tonal side of town & got a good meal of Milanesa deres y puerco. Then into "town" there & a room for $100 at the Hotel Colon. to bed ~2:30. Sleep somewhat later as the people next door were noisy. On the road to Arriaga, we saw 2 foxes (tried to hit one, but could not find him after we did) 2 mice (one w a short Orycterus-like tail), 1 Coati
