D. Straney 1977 26 Aug contd. Returned to Simla by 11:15 to find Mary Ann waiting with a long story - will meet John again in Guatemala on 5 Sept. Talked for some time & to bed late. 27 Aug. Simla Up at 10 after sleepless nit. Charles E. Moler was visiting & wanted to photo bats. Spent 'til noon on this while the girls did some shopping in town. Talked up Dr. Price for a while re collecting sites. Carla started lunch & we began processing our catel. Lunch ~ 3. By dark we were not done, so the girls went out to set traps while I finished, then wrote notes. They returned w/ a snake & then rd drove for a while. to bed ~ 11:30 to read a while. 28 Aug. Simla Up rather late & a leisurely lunch. About 4pm drove out to an E-W running valley in the Northern range which Jack thought would be good. See map facing Very nice little stream w/ medium sized pools & good forest border. A hill to the E had a trail going along it giving, esp in the woods part, an excellent fly way. Set 3 nets on hill - 2, 30' in forest, one in open grassy area - & 1, 18' over stream.
