J.O. Straney 1977 85. 4 Aug. contd. had a snack and nap until 3pm. Putzed around then went ~ 4:30 to set net over the water tank Dr. Price suggested we try. Much trouble with the net (tangled - & a new one!) but finally got one up ~ 7pm. Carla then went to make dinner & I pulled Carolina out until ~ 9 when I went up to eat. Took nets down ~ 10pm having got 11 Carolina, 1 Glossoplaga longirostris (?) & 1 Pteronotus davyi - the naked backed Mormoopid. A nightcap, read a little & bed by 11:30pm but not to sleep until early AM. 2 to 5 Aug. Simla vicinity Up at 8:30 & quick l'faut then off to airport to meet John Calle & Mary Ann Rogers' plane from Guatemala via Caracas. The plane was 1½hrs late & they were not aboard. We had been worried by lack of message from them so sent a telegram to Woke outlining the situation. Back to Aruba to find stores closed for lunch so back to Simla for lunch. Took an unintended nap 'til 3pm & decided we had to process late. This took until 6:45pm so decided not to set tonite & read & relaxed. To bed by 11.
