Delta would not take LN tank, so wrote Alice a desperate note to sleep it to us in San Antonio - will call her at 11-12 AM tomorrow (1-2 local time) to see what she can arrange. Also have asked her to send a small tank to us in Trinidad. Need a restricted article form. Flight left 12:56 AM- 10 min. Sleep en route - arrived 5:52 AM & met John & Llo, Dallas to Devine, Tx. 30 June Left airport, getting breakfast on way, for San Antonio. Arrived at airport ~1:30 & called MVZ. Dave had made arrangements for LN tank - will send empty one w/ Mary for Trinidad. Had lunch at McD's. Drove to Castroville to see edge of Edwards Plateau - many large mesquite thru here - yucca on plateau. Then to New Braunfel to one of San's Yucca springs in Landis Park but for crowds were unable to find any. Then to airport to repack car - LN arrived 8:30 PM. Dinner at Snylers. To Devine & a motel for the night by 9:45 PM. 1 July Devine, Tx to Monteray, N.I. Mexico Up ~10 AM after a good nights sleep. Lg breakfast at the motel, then uneventful drive to Loredo.
