D.D. Straney 1976 23. 14 Sept. (contd) old guano. Mike says there are many bats in here but are hard to get. (Mike also has some good Lasionycteris localities, good in the spring). Went out to Logandale to work a roost under a bridge - out I-15 to Overton-Logandale turnoff. The bridge is on the Wedge of Logandale on SR-12 and spans the Muddy River. There are 2 expansion joint in the bridge where Tadarida roosts. Hung Re nets as follows over the joint: this worked remarkably well and was easy to raise up and remove animals, although we did this by moving the net to the milk warehouse parking lot to the N because of traffic on the bridge. Nets up by 7 - sunset shortly thereafter. Vespertilionids seen in large numbers foraging near the large trees in the area which Sam tried to get by slingshot with no luck. Did not have
