D.Straney 1976 10 July cont'd. our net. We got only early leaving individuals. Suggest looking at a time series in several roosts. Very few bats had left by the time we had our sample ~ 10:30 pm, and took down the nets. Got 3 Myotis californicus and a total of 48 M. yumanensis in addition to 1 M. hysanodes and 3 T. brasiliensis (in Carla's Catalogue). Few seemed to be leaving as we left, although activity in the barn was high - possibly correlated with the full moon that was out? Eastern U.S. 18 July Sam McLeod and I in my car, with Carla Markman and M. Walter in Carla's left Berkeley at 12 PM (actually the 19th) after frantic packing, etc. I had finished the 1st draft of The Phyllostomatid Genetics paper at 6 PM, so we were somewhat delayed. Fairly easy drive until Blythe, CA. When Carla gave out and I had to drive from Indio to Benson, AZ - along hilly for me. Finally arrived in the Churchawa's at 11:45 pm AZ time (1035.2 mi.). Set a net at John Hands Lake in Cave Creek. 19 July
