SKULL REMARKS After closer examination + measuring it appears as if the kangaroo-rats of this area are at least different sub. sp. to those at Dickwae. The colouration is different, they run slightly larger, have definitely longer ears, + though not at all fat as were those at Dickwae weigh more. Also the scrotum of the species at Dickwae was invariably black tipped flesh, whereas the scrotum of these specimens are invariably pink flesh. It would be well to look closer into the spirit material, ample of which will be supplied. Also these specimens appear to have longer whiskers.
