1986 Walter D Koenig Melanerpes formicivorus Rajneesh Grande Annex HNNHR 22 April! This is one of the new & groups over here in the Blom3-CVar area, consisting of 2 ub ♂♂ and 1 ub ♀. They are up in the small open field where CVGrande used to hang out and in the nest area (1st nest last year). In any case, they have a nest (!) (see map on back) with 4 eggs in it (!). *Group Update* We will have these! Although we don't know for sure, presumably these are the birds Katy saw up here all winter (called group "Rajneesh" by her). So we will call them "Rajneesh". 24 April Ambushed at the CVGrande '85 1st nest hole, expecting to get the birds here, but I got 81079 - a 1st yr CVGrande bird - instead! 25 April *Group Update* Katy gives a probable original group composition of 4 birds (2♂♂ and 2♀♀) all unbanded, when 1st seen in December. They were originally up more toward B/M3 On th 21st of March, Mark saw only the 3 birds.
