1986 Walter D Koenig Melanerpes formicivorus E-Toop HNHR 21 May A major fuckup this evening when I ambushed at CVGrande's old nest hole (hoping to catch Rajneesh birds) only to catch ♂1079 - on hatching eggs!!! [One egg had hatched - at least 2 unhatched eggs were there also]. Well. Piss me off. So I stuffed him back in and plugged up the hole to keep him in tonight (Stanback will unplug it before dawn). Wow. See map on back. We hope he will be ok tomorrow. 8 June *Group Update* Birds here are ♂1079 (from CVGrande) and ♀1204 (caught at CVPower Struggle). Both were certainly here by 19 April. (it wasn't)
