Counted stores: Main tree: 2048 20 tree (by 1500): 177 These trees are pretty full but not really stuffed. I'd set the number of holes here at ~2800. 5 April *Group Update* 8785. Sadly appears gone. Last seen 28 Sept., gone by 22 Oct -> D.A. 10 Oct ± 2 wks. 81162. Last seen 22 Oct, gone by 13 Nov.; DA -> 3 Nov ± 1 wk. [Nice try, but I caught him on 11 Apr.] 11 April 600. Ambushed at the same old hole, getting 8770 and 3 helper 88. A 5th bird was in the hole but escaped. 8770 was taken and put in the aviary as part of the 2nd temporary removal for the year. 14 April 1030. Mark saw a bird in the hole this morning (same hole as the ambush) so I climbed up and checked: nothing. But obviously this doesn't mean they haven't started already, so tomorrow should be an egg-tossing watch for sure! 15 April 1530. Katy watched this morning, seeing what could have been egg-laying but apparently wasn't, as no one tossed (up until when she left, anyway) and there are now no eggs in the nest.
