None were seen again except for 9975, who was seen at the Lambert power struggle on 28 Feb '86. So 9ub, 6530, 9975, ?974, & ?1041 all abandoned March ± 1 month. (Note that they had acorns here on 9 Feb.) 11 May 1845. Nest here is in a huge knothole; 6 babies have hatched recently. 14 May 1000. Finally sawed open the hole: 3 babies, eyes just opening (≈9 do). Band on ~28 May. 16 May 800. Watching nest; ambush set up. 900. 8 banked (?); 9ub tried and missed her. 1030. Well, that was my big chance for the day, leaving. 22 May 1310.
