Birds are incubating (I'm pretty sure). 2 June 1300. Checked the hole: empty. *Group Update* ♂1298. Last seen 24 Feb, gone (?) by 27 March → DA 13 March ind.→♀1205. Last seen 23 Dec '86, gone by 24 Feb, DA 23 Jan ± 1 mon below. (A new ♀ub here, we'll say on 1 April ± 1 month. 5 June 3 birds went into nest hole tonight, but ambush failed. 18 June 600. This time I got them all (3), in the old nest hole facing the road in the main trunk. However, contrary to expectation, the ♀ was banded; indeed, she was #1205. So the group returns to its former state!
