(Katy) 27 March Delete ♀1325, who appears to have dispersed to Blomone as of mid-March. 28 April! 1530. Hole checked. No eggs. 1 May 1400. 2 eggs! Marked #1 & 2. 5 May Watched roosting this evening: 8774 spent the night in the nest. 6 May 1215. Got 8770! Whoopee! Also caught ♀193, who I released right away virtually into the talons of a Cooper's hawk who homed in on her screams. I hope she's OK—she's now sitting on a branch low in the tree recovering. 1300. 8770 is pretty freaked out—he's now in the aviary, and I hope he's OK! 8 May 900. Bird in hole, incubating. Checked hole: 6 eggs (Mark had found a 3rd on 2 May). I was a runt, which I kept.
