Counted stores: Plague tree: 2981) 4991 Barn 64 20 tree 977 988} Tel Pole 969 (inc. 400 in styrofoam block and 400 in voost hole) These birds have acorns in a lot of Places I haven't seen or noticed them before. They are also pretty full, but I'd have to give them a capacity of 5500. 18 January *Group Update* j1067. Last seen 12 July (Missy); gone by 23 Sept. (Katy): D.A. 18 Aug. ± 1 month 8723, 8983, 81089, 81090. All joined Plague (from Plague Annex) ~20 June 1985. 8983 last seen on 12 July feeding at Plague; gone by 23 Sept → D.A. ~18 Aug ± 1 month. 15 April 81089 over at Blomone power struggle (identity probable but not certain) this morning. 18 April 1000. 3 eggs in the nesthole in the 20 granary! They were nicely grated by dirt, allowing me to (fairly confidently) number them 1-3 in the (probable) order they were laid. 23 April *Group Update* 81090. Now at Refuge! 5 May 1300. Caught 8984 in the nest as we went up to steal the babies for metabolism. We did the following: ① took all 3 babies, but ② replaced them with a Chongo baby (banded Manue) so they wouldn't fail. 6 May 1500. Returned the babies from to the nest and took the Chongo bird back.
